By Going to Open Sauce, I also Explored San Francisco

Can't say what its like to live there or what the politics are like, but San Fran is great for visiting! The city is very clean and all the tourist attractions are visible from anywhere in the city, Coit Tower, Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, Nob Hill, etc..

San Fran is very walkable despite how vertical the city is. There is pretty architecture and I thought some of the technology on display was neat.

I thought the self driving cars were pretty cool. They appeared throughout the whole city. I wonder how consistent they are. I imagine staying within a city helps with predictability.

Besides the self-driving car, San Fran seems to pride itself in green energy. Unsure how much of it is just for show, but I thought the electric buses were really impressive. The buses acted like more versatile trams. They have overhead power rails which they can seamlessly connect to.

Pictures

Here are some pictures and text that goes with them. None of these are focused on the actual tourist attractions, you've seen all of those a thousand times over.

I went into a store with a wide variety of snacks from the Hispanosphere. I ended up getting Gansitos.

Superman smelling farts. It is fun to catch whatever is on TV in the hotel room. It just so happened to be Batman Vs Superman or whatever its called.

A trippy looking tunnel. It is really weird to see through a tunnel with another road just above it.

The view from one of the hotels I stayed at.

The inside of a 60s themed American diner. I enjoyed their pancakes.

A ball stuck on a roof.

A framed picture of a popcorn that looks a lot like Pyro from Team Fortress 2.

Some silly sketches.

A picture of the infamous terrorist organization, Phoenix Connexion.

Three dogs in a window.

Cringe Steam Deck Picture Collection

Because Watch Dogs 2 is set in San Fran and has some well made recreations of various locations, I took some pictures comparing reality to the game. I know this is stupid but I had fun doing it.

Unfortunately I only ever got OK images of Alcatraz. Almost all of these images are edited in one way or another. My poor LCD Steam Deck can't really beat being in the bright sunlight. I also was starting to feel really exhausted at this part in the trip, so I wasn't in the mood to setup these stupid pictures as much. It is fun to edit these images though.

3DS Travel Buddy

I still love to bring my 3DS with me on big trips. I like to get streetpasses, track my steps, and take terrible pictures! While at Open Sauce, I got some streepasses but I wasn't able to get any for the rest of the trip.

I ended up falling in love with taking pictures with the 3DS in the second half of the trip. Something about their terrible quality was really appealing. I also think the 3D effect on the 3DS looks really good, so I also liked taking pictures with that in mind.

I used Stereo Photo Maker to obtain all the 3D SBS versions of the pictures. If you want to view these in 3D, you'll need a VR set or some kind of 3D display. You may need to flip the images as I think I exported all of them backwards. If the 3D effect doesn't look quite right, you may need to flip it.

A big thing I was shooting for with these pictures was trying to remove time from them. I wanted it to be hard to tell when they were taken. Trying to avoid taking pictures of things like modern cars or smart phones.

That is all.

This was secondary to my Open Sauce page.

I really enjoyed this trip and I hope to document my future trips like this.
