What is Open Sauce? Open Sauce is a gigantic maker faire where very smart and creative people show off the things they've built. It is really inspiring to see what people come up with and just puts into perspective what is possible. This page is just me talking about my experience and some of the things I thought were neat. I plan to make another page (maybe even a third) which connects to this page.
I ran into them very early into my trip in Hall A. I felt bad because I forgot the last part of their YT channel name. Wicked.. Workshop? Wicked... Creators? Wicked...? They gave me a neat 3D printed keychain.
I attended the Creator Meetup for Zack Freedman so I got to see him answer questions in person. He gave me a chip. I ended up with two because my dad got one too. I kept seeing him over and over again between the Halls, something about it made me feel awkward.
I ran into styro near the Main Stage. He signed the back of my PCB badge thingy-majig. My dad reminded him to call his father because it was fathers day. Unfortunately his signature got kinda scuffed.
I ran into Maker's Muse near the Second Stage. He gave me a 3D Printed puzzle toy which is really neat. I tried to solve it but I think I am a little too stupid. He also signed the back of my badge.
I never interacted with him directly because it was just kinda like, there was a constant circle around him of people. I just thought it was neat to see him in person. I spotted him in Hall A.
I didn't get good pictures of some of these booths, some pictures will be taken from other places. Images will be properly credited.
I absolutely loved seeing this and its one of the first exhibits that I gravitated towards. Force-feedback gloves have been a dream of mine for a long time, so seeing it and using it in person was really cool!
This controller really caught my attention because it is really well designed for its form factor! I like small portable things and this controller offers a full array of inputs while being really small and pocket-sized.
Grahhh so cool! I love Interstellar.
This is very impressive! This RC recreation of NASA's Lunar Landing Research Vehicle has a little jet engine with the full range of motion as the real thing! Unfortunately I don't think this guy has any social media for showing off his creation.
This was really silly. Its a drink mixer that goes on your back.
I love the Steam Deck so I thought it would be fun to record the ones I spotted in the wild.
There were a lot of furries there but I didn't feel like chasing them all down for a picture.
